1. UEFA Super Cup:
On 12th of August 2014 the 39th edition of Super Cup organized by UEFA will be held. This time the Cardiff City Stadium will taste some Spanish flavors as both teams are from the same country. Real Madrid CF fixed their spot by winning 2013-14th edition of UEFA Champions League whereas Sevilla FC was confirmed as their opponent after being victorious at UEFA Europa League2013-14. Both teams are aiming to secure their second UEFA Super Cup victory to become the champion of champions.
2. Barclays Premier League 2014-15:
The most prestigious event in English football history will be played from 16th August 2014 to 24 May 2015. A total of 20 teams will go one on one against each other in the 23rd season of League. Top English football clubs including Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and many others will be battling for the glory in this action packed thriller . Manchester City will be defending his title won in the previous season.
3. Bundesliga 2014-15:
One of the upcoming football events , Germany’s premier football league Bundsliga is scheduled to be played from 22nd of August 2014 0nwards. Bayern Munich will defend the title against top 18 German teams such as FC Augsburg, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and others.
4. La Liga 2014-15:
The next big upcoming football event in the schedule is another Spanish league la liga. With 20 participant teams including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid the event will begin on 23rd August 2014. 17 sides will be from the last season and three others promoted from 2013-14 Segunda Division. 5. UEFA Champions League 2014-15:
The 60th edition of Europe’s premier club football tournament will be played from 16 September 2014 to 6 June 2015. The qualifying round is already in action since 1st July 2014. A total of 77 teams from 54 UEFA member associations are expected to participate in UCL 2014-15 with Cristiano Ronaldo featured Real Madrid CF as defending champions. The final will be played on 6th June 2015 in Berlin Germany.
6. UEFA Europa League 2014-15:
The qualifying round for 44th season of Europa League has already begun but the proper competition will be played from 18th September 2014 to 27th May 2015. A total of 195 teams from all 54 UEFA member associations are expected to participate in the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League. The winners of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League are given an additional entry as title holders if they do not qualify for the 2014–15 UEFA Champions League or Europa League through their domestic performance.
7. FIFA Club World Cup 2014:
FIFA Club World Cup 2014 is going to be played in Morocco from 10 to 20th of December 2014. The upcoming football events will be played between the champion clubs from each of the six continental confederations, as well as the national league champion from the host country.4 teams including 2013-14 UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid CF have qualified for the event while remaining are yet to be determined at the completion of some events.
8. Copa America 2015:
The main international upcoming football events for national teams in South America will be held in Chile in June-July 2015. A total of 12 teams will participate in the event including Uruguay as defending champions. The winner will earn a right to participate in 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
