FIFA Ballon d’Or 2014 Nominees in Pictures
Nominees for FIFA Ballon d’or 2014 have been made. A list of 23 players battling for the prize was released by the governing committee on Monday. This year’s nominees feature top performers for the last season including current prize holder Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Although Cristiano Ronaldo has been in a fearsome form for most of the season and is the most favorite for the prize but the presence of other talents cannot be denied. FIFA Ballon d’Or 2014 nominees have suggested that this year’s contest is going to be much more than a 2 horse-race. FIFA World Cup 2014 Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez and German stopper Manual Neuer may challenge Ronaldo and Messi. A shortlist of the final three contestants will be announced on Jan. 12, 2015 and then the final winner will be decided.
