All-Time NFL Most Valuable Player Award Winners
Green Bay Packer’s Aaron Rodgers was named as the winner of 2014 NFL most valuable player award beating other five competitors. This is the second NFL Most Valuable Player award for Green Bay Packer’s quarterback, the first being won in 2011. The NFL most valuable player award is reserved for the most precious player for his team in National Football League. The term Most Valuable Player was used by Association Press in 1961 which lead to the confusion that whether pre-1960 winners are MVPs or player of the year (POY)? However an article by Pro Football Weekly cleared the ambiguity stating that at that time both terms were interchangeable. Till date Peyton Manning holds the record of most NFL most valuable player award winning it five times.
